Introducing NNA’s Direct Support Service

Networking Nursing Agency (NNA) is thrilled to launch a new in-home support service for people with disabilities and their support networks. Our new Direct Support Service provides a range of quality disability and healthcare supports and is committed to helping make your care journey as safe and easy as possible.

A registered NDIS Provider

NNA is a registered NDIS provider with over 20 years of experience in healthcare staffing and is one of Australia’s largest nursing and disability staffing agencies. We’re now broadening our services to make our large network of trusted staff available directly to people living with a disability. NNA’s Direct Support Service takes a people-first approach to care and provides a range of specialised in-home supports to help you maximise your NDIS funds and find support people right for you. Our services are flexible and are available on an as-needed, short term or ongoing basis, and are tailored to your needs and goals.

Where are our supports available?

Our Direct Support Service team is staffed by NNA’s experienced and passionate Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and care workers located in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. We’re pleased to be able to make our quality staff and in-home supports initially available to thousands of families and people across these states and have plans to extend our services to other parts of Australia in the future.

What makes us different?

At NNA, we recognise that people living with disabilities face different challenges, health conditions and care requirements that can change over time. Since no one person or disability journey is the same, it’s our mission to ensure support is personalised, every step of the way.

Thanks to our large network of dedicated nurses and support workers, NNA’s Direct Support Service provides a diverse range of specialised supports that enable us to deliver continuous care. This means - even as care needs change over time - we can work with our clients across their care journey to help them find the right support, build trusted relationships and receive the highest calibre of care in the safety and comfort of their own home.

Our experienced support workers are highly trained to work with people with disabilities to promote independent living, including help at home (household chores & personal care) and social and community support (travel and after school support). For complex care requirements, our Registered Nurses can provide healthcare supports (specialised health services & assistance with medication) and in-home nursing care (palliative & overnight care). Technology paired with the human touch

We recognise that all people have different interests. We help our clients find and connect with local support workers and nurses that match their needs and interests through our Edge app. Once you’ve completed your profile, you can build your team and book your preferred support staff.  In one easy to use app, you have control and choice over the support you choose.

Recently, we caught up with Joseph Semaan who we previously introduced to you as our Customer Engagement Manager. But we wanted to reintroduce you to him and his new role at NNA Direct Support Service. Joseph is now our Business Development Consultant based in Western Sydney and has been with us since November 2021. He has over 5 years of experience in the disability sector and has been great to have on the team. What do you see as the biggest opportunity for disability support providers? To reach more participants and assist them to live more independently and improve their well-being and quality of life. Biggest challenge for the disability support sector? Firstly, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) not responding quick enough to plan reviews, impacting participants care. Also, the risk of organisations not meeting professional standards to provide model care to participants. What are some fun facts about you? I have a Diploma in Remedial Massage and ran a business for over 12 years. What are you most excited about for in 2023? Professionally, I am excited to continue to expand the business and help as many people as possible. Personally, watching my daughter grow and celebrate her 1 st birthday. If you or someone you know is looking for support in Sydney, please get in touch with Joseph on LinkedIn here .
